Tim Curry took a trip down memory lane as he recalled anecdotes from filming Home Alone 2 with Macaulay Culkin.
The 79-year-old actor sat down with The Academy in a new interview to look back on his decades-long career.
At Margaret Herrick Library, he shared memories while being shown artifacts from each of his past roles alongside archivist Louise Hilton.
When it came to working with Culkin, 45, he said, ‘Mac used to stay up watching late-night movies and fall asleep in the makeup chair.’
Curry added, ‘I liked him. He was a very nice kid.’
Curry played the role of the concierge Mr. Hector in Home Alone 2, and said staying at the Plaza Hotel in New York City while filming ‘wasn’t particularly fun,’ noting, ‘I had a view of a brick wall.’

Culkin reprised his lead role of Kevin McCallister in the sequel to the 1990 blockbuster Home Alone. In the film, he accidentally ends up in New York City while his family flies to Florida for Christmas.
He famously stayed at the Plaza Hotel, where he met the suspicious concierge, Mr. Hector.
Culkin recently mourned the loss of his onscreen mom, Catherine O’Hara, who died on January 30 at age 71.
O’Hara passed away at her home in Los Angeles ‘following a brief illness,’ with her official cause of death listed as pulmonary embolism, with rectal cancer as the underlying cause.
Culkin took to Instagram in the wake of her passing and shared two photos of them together.
He captioned, ‘Mama. I thought we had time. I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you but I had so much more to say. I love you. I’ll see you later.’
Meanwhile Curry recently opened up about his 2012 stroke in his memoir Vagabond, revealing that he was getting a massage when it happened.
The legendary Rocky Horror Picture Show star had a stroke after collapsing at his California home more 13 years ago, leaving him partially paralyzed on one side of his body and affecting his speech.
‘I did not fade to black. I did not even feel out of sorts, or like something was very wrong. If fact, I had no idea that anything was off at all,’ he wrote.
The masseur wasn’t certain of the medical emergency, but noticed alarming changes in the actor’s body that alerted him something was wrong.

Curry initially thought he was ‘overreacting’ and told him not to call 911.
‘I probably owe my life to the fact that he ignored me, went with his instinct, and called an ambulance,’ he penned.
‘Even as they were loading me in, I still thought my masseur had overreacted, and that we were going through a ridiculous and unnecessary exercise.’
After his evaluation, doctors determined the actor would need a craniectomy.
He did not learn the severity of his condition until the procedure was done: ‘Only after the surgery was completed was I informed that I had suffered a serious stroke, which sent blood clots to my brain, two of which had been removed.’
