This Morning star Michelle Elman has revealed that she had been rushed to hospital for emergency surgery.
The TV life coach, 33, took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday to share that she had undergone her 19th operation this week.
Sharing a snap from her hospital bed, she wrote: ‘Ended up needing emergency surgery.
‘So much for Chinese New Year being a fresh start. Had surgery on the first day of the year and Chinese New Year.’
In a follow-up post, Michelle revealed she had been left with two new scars on her neck and collarbone, joking about her immediate concern when she woke up.
‘Got two new scars on my neck and collarbone — the fact I woke up and was like ‘you didn’t destroy my tattoos?’ Priorities.’

She later shared a sweet photo of a beaded bracelet made by her nephew, which read: ‘Get better.’
Alongside the touching snap, Michelle reflected on her long medical journey, revealing she has now undergone a total of 19 surgeries.
‘I think 19 surgeries is enough for a lifetime,’ she added.
It is currently unknown what kind of surgery Michelle underwent at the time of writing this.
It comes after the This Morning contributor revealed she had undergone a major surgery after a tube in her brain broke – leaving her ‘skull filling up with water’.
The TV life coach took to social media to open up on the ‘complex’ medical issue.
Michelle opened up about needing surgery last November, as she revealed she had a new cyst on her brain and a magnet that needs replacing.
Michelle was born Hydrocephalus, an excess of cerebrospinal fluid, and doctors later discovered that she was also born with a brain tumour. The magnet helps control the flow of the fluid.

The daytime TV star took to Instagram to explain she was back in hospital after having ‘complex’ surgery, sharing images of her with a heavily bandaged head.
Lying in bed at hospital, Michelle revealed how she had undergone the ‘high risk’ operation to fix a tube that had been put inside her skull to control fluid.
She penned to fans over a series of hospital photos: ‘They discovered the tube in my brain was broken – and that wasn’t even the part they were fixing.
‘Now I’m just sat here wondering how I wrote a whole f**king book with my brain filling with water for years?!?! I’ve been on live TV and radio multiple times?!
‘Absolute madness. Might explain some of my other questionable life choices!’
She continued: ‘If one more person keeps telling me I’m a “complex case”, “extremely unique” or “unheard of”, my brain might actually explode!
‘I’m only accepting the terms “medical miracle” from now on.’
Opening up on the type of surgery she underwent, Michelle explained, ‘The actual surgery they were doing was actually a choice between a higher risk or lower risk.
‘There was a chance the high risk would just result in me being opened for nothing and having a new scar for s**ts and gigs.

Sharing a life update while lying in bed last week, Michelle asked her fans for support to help her ‘pretend she’s not in hospital’ as she continues to ‘make content’ for her fans online about TV.
The TV star added: ‘This is three months of symptoms now, I’ve been in and out of hospital for over a month, and I am bored – and January is one of the best months of TV stuff, and obviously a lot of my content is TV.
‘Since I’m lying in a hospital bed, all alone and watching all these shows anyway, I want to be making the content I want to be making.
‘After the experience I’ve had the last three months, especially because it was brain surgeries and and affecting how my brain functioned, if I have a brain, I want to be able to use it.
‘My body might not be the sharpest right now, but my brain still works, and that has taken over a month to get to that point.
‘I’m not allowed to lift up my head because I have a tube draining my brain right now, and because I have tubes coming out of my body, it’s also quite hard to get dressed.
‘We’ll do our best to conserve our modesty, but other than that, my brain is working so I’m going to use it.
‘This is me at my worst, and that’s OK, because what I have to say is more important and we’re going to just keep making content and ignore the fact I’m in a hospital bed.
Michelle admitted her brain was ‘filling up with water’ in the posts
In November, Michelle documented her doctors appointments as she revealed she was due to undergo another surgery after having an MRI scan (pictured in April 2024)
‘I don’t want to talk about the medical stuff, it’s frankly boring, really depressing, and at times completely infuriating, because I should not still be in a hospital bed.’
In November, Michelle documented her doctors appointments as she revealed she was due to undergo another surgery after having an MRI scan.
The daytime TV star took to Instagram to document the appointment, as she shared with fans: ‘My life has been high highs and low lows atm and this morning was a miserable one with lots of bad news that I’m not prepared to deal with.’
Michelle later revealed: ‘Yesterday I found out I need another brain surgery. I have a cyst in my brain again and also the magnet in my brain needs replacing.
‘It’s not urgent but it is needed so now I have to figure out when to schedule this so it disrupts my life as little as possible.
‘Inevitably I will have to pause my life and go deal with this, likelihood it will be next year, but until then it’s business as usual.’
Michelle went on to say she doesn’t like talking about her health as she has spent her ‘whole life making my world bigger than a hospital bed’.
The presenter has had 15 surgeries in the first 20 years of her life, including operations to fix an obstructed bowel and punctured intestine.
She continued: ‘My medical record is rarely simple so ultimately I’m doing my best to make peace with it all and to be honest I have lived a great life and really milked every moment I’ve had in this world so can’t complain.’
Speaking on Loose Women in 2018, Michelle revealed what it felt like to die after she flat-lined following brain surgery.
She went into surgery at the age of 11 so doctors could run tests on the brain she flat-lined, and she remembers floating above her bed.
She called death ‘peaceful and calm’ and hopes to reassure people that it isn’t as scary as they might think.
The relationship guru explained: ‘I still remember floating above my bed.
‘What’s really nice to know is it’s a really calm sensation when you die, and that’s what I’d like to tell people because it gives you a bit solace that even in the last moments it’s really peaceful and really calm.
‘In my head it was five minutes but apparently it was a few seconds. I remember everything that happened but apparently my eyes were closed.
‘I didn’t talk about it for years but it makes me sound a bit crazy.’
