Joel Creasey has revealed his next big career move after it was announced he wouldn’t be joining co-stars Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell on Breakfast radio.
Nova announced a huge shake-up on Friday when the station revealed it has axed Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie from the early morning slot and replaced them with Ricki-Lee & Tim.
But fans of their current Drive show were left confused when comedian Joel didn’t appear to be included in the announcement, despite being the third on their team.
Now, the host, 35, has revealed on the Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel show that he won’t be moving far because he has just landed his very own national show on Nova.
‘Very much inspired by the heavenly Chrissie Swan, I’m going solo,’ he announced on Friday afternoon.
‘What were they thinking! You’ll be able to hear The Joel Creasey Show nationally at lunchtimes.’

‘And yeah, I guess the boss has figured the world is already on fire. Let’s just pour more gasoline onto it and see what chaos he can cause!’ he joked.
Co-host Tim, 44, later quipped to Joel: ‘When you think about it, lunchtime for you is kind of breakfast radio for you… we’re all kind of getting up earlier.’
‘You’ve got your own version of breakfast!’ Ricki-Lee, 40, added.
‘I really do! That is my breakfast,’ Joel responded.
Nova has since revealed in a media release that The Joel Creasey Show is set to make its debut in April.
It comes after news broke that Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie would be leaving the Breakfast time slot and shifting into national Drive instead.
Hosts Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald, Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli and Kate Ritchie announced the news on Friday’s breakfast show.
‘After 15 years of doing this breakfast radio show, the Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie show, they have finally completed their apprenticeship, and they’re going to be graduating to the national drive time position,’ Wippa, 46, said.

‘4-6pm around Australia on the country’s best Radio Network, Nova. There it is, guys!’
Fitzy, 48, added: ‘Now, I know there’s probably a lot of people freaking out thinking that we were going to leave. We’re not. This is not a goodbye at all.
‘This is the evolution of the show. We’ve been doing this for 15 years, and we have an amazing audience.
‘We cannot do this without you, but we’ve been dropping you and the kids off at school every morning, but now we’re just going to be driving you home in the afternoon.’
‘It’s as simple as that, and the show will be Fitzy, Wippa & Kate. One condition that we made, Wippa and I, was if we’re going to do this show, Kate Ritchie doesn’t get two names,’ he joked.
Not missing a beat, Kate, 47, quipped: ‘Well, Kate Ritchie’s not being dropped from the show! And I think that’s because I finally learned how to spell my name, so I don’t need to see it on the side of buses.’
Kate said she’s ‘thrilled’ about making the move.
‘I’ve absolutely loved my time with the boys on Sydney Breakfast and I’m thrilled we now get to share our show with all of Australia,’ she said in a statement.

‘My morning alarm is ready and waiting to be set for packing school lunch and doing drop-off again with the beauty of entertaining our loyal listeners on their drive home. It’ll be an exciting evolution for all of us.’
Wippa similarly approached the news with optimism, saying, ‘The time has come to share the love with the rest of the country.’
Fitzy added: ‘I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved with our audience in Sydney over the past 15 years, but equally excited to open up to our national family.’
The changes will take place on Monday, February 9, 2026.
