Their chemistry was undeniable, but so was their drama, breakups, and reconciliations.

Fast forward to today, Millie, 36, and Hugo, 39, could not live a more different life.

Married in 2018 and now parents to two young daughters, Sienna, five, and Aurelia, four, the pair have traded in their party-hard lifestyles for family life.

Yet, after seven years of marriage, the couple have quietly separated following a difficult start to the year, marking the end of a chapter.

Millie and Hugo first began dating on Made in Chelsea in 2010, where viewers were hooked on their relationship.

They lived life in the fast lane, often heading to glamorous events together and enjoying late nights out.

On the reality show, the pair looked like a match made in heaven.

But after six months of dating, their relationship hit a wall when Millie accused Hugo of cheating with her best friend and co-star, Rosie Fortescue.

This all came out in an iconic MIC scene, which saw Millie propose a toast to the couple in front of a room full of partygoers in 1920s garb.

She said: ‘This second… a second toast to my best friend Rosie Fortescue, for hooking up with Hugo Taylor while we were together and lying about it. Here’s to friendship… You’re disgusting.’

However, it turned out that Millie had cheated on him beforehand during a trip to Ibiza.

The couple split in 2011, and it wasn’t long before the Quality Street heiress found love elsewhere.

At the time, Millie claimed she would always love Hugo, saying in an interview: ‘I loved him – those feelings don’t disappear – but I just always have to remind myself why we’re not together.’

‘I do think that, for the rest of my life, every time I see him, I’ll get that feeling in my stomach. I don’t think I could ever not get that butterfly feeling.’

Millie then had a very high-profile relationship with rapper Professor Green, also known as Stephen Manderson.

After seeing her on the cover of lad mag FHM, he made it his mission to get in touch with her.

They made their first public appearance as a couple at the 2012 BRIT Awards, and then the rapper proposed during a holiday in France just over a year later.

At this time, Millie quit Made in Chelsea to focus on her relationship and pursue other acting careers.

When asked why she decided to leave MIC on Jamie Laing’s Private Parts podcast, Millie revealed: ‘I’d started a relationship with somebody that wasn’t going to be in the show.

‘Then I felt like… and because they couldn’t film that side of my life… and because Caggie had left, who was like my best friend on the show.

‘I felt like what I was being asked to film were things that weren’t that genuine to me. I felt like I didn’t have a storyline for them to follow.

‘I didn’t want to be in there just creating drama for other people. I always said I would leave when it wasn’t fun anymore and wasn’t authentic. That’s why I left.’

Meanwhile, Hugo also left the show around the same time because he felt like he had outgrown it.

He told The Standard: ‘Originally the producers only wanted me as a peripheral character and that’s all I wanted to contribute.

‘I could wind up having absolutely everything or I could end up with nothing. But I’ve become lazy and comfortable on the show.’

Millie and Professor Green tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Babington House in Somerset in 2014.

However, rumours began to swirl that they were heading for a divorce after a series of blazing rows in public.

Despite them revealing they were in marriage counselling at the time, they went on to announce their separation after 30 months of marriage in February 2016.

They released a joint statement which read: ‘It is with sadness and regret that we confirm our separation.’

‘It is a mutual decision, we still care deeply about each other and would like it to be known it is on amicable terms and we wish each other well.’

Millie previously kept quiet about her tumultuous chapter with the rapper, but has finally given an insight into what really went down.

‘I think we both were in our own struggles, and I think we maybe both thought we could fix each other. But we couldn’t. And ultimately, we both had our own struggles, and it just magnified it. And it was actually quite toxic,’ she told Brogan Garritt-Smith in a 2025 episode of her Getting There podcast.

Meanwhile, Hugo was in a relationship with Natalie Joel before they split in 2015.

Millie and Hugo then rekindled their romance just weeks after her divorce from Professor Green was finalised.

At the time, the reality star received backlash for how quickly she was linked with her cheating ex.

Millie and Hugo sparked speculation that they were back together after posting several photos of the couple together on Instagram, including a snap of them kissing during the latter’s 30th birthday weekend.

Hugo proposed to Millie during a romantic trip to Mykonos, Greece, that year.

Her vintage flower halo engagement ring was a unique design that caught the eye.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Queensmith Master Jewellers valued Millie’s ring at £30,000-£40,000.

They went on to say ‘I do’ at an official legal ceremony at Chelsea Town Hall in June 2018.

This was followed by a huge bash at Whithurst Park estate in West Sussex, which is owned by Hugo’s uncle, and was attended by their reality TV co-stars.

Rosie, whom Millie previously accused Hugo of cheating on her with, was one of the bridesmaids.

To celebrate their first year of marriage, Hugo wrote Millie a love letter, which she framed and later shared on Instagram. In it, he penned: ‘I am so proud of you.

‘For 365 days you have shown me what true love really is. By the strength of you character the humility of your spirit and generosity of your soul, you have raised up our marriage to heights I never thought would be possible.

‘You have led us with courage and fortitude through tumultuous and difficult times to be stronger than I ever could have imagined. I have learnt from you that one never gives up in working to build a life together.

‘I promise to the day I die, I will never take you for granted, never stop trying to make every year of our lives together as happy as our first together to never let you down and always give you what you deserve.’

Then, in November 2019, Millie and Hugo announced they were expecting their first child.

Breaking the news to their followers on Instagram, Mille wrote in the caption alongside an image of her cradling her bump: ‘So excited to announce that we’re expecting!!!’

In May 2020, she gave birth to a ‘very healthy’ baby girl.

The proud parents told Hello! magazine: ‘We are delighted to announce the arrival of our darling girl who arrived on Friday 1 May at 1:21pm, weighing a very healthy seven pounds.

‘We are eternally grateful to the doctors, nurses and midwives for taking such good care of us.

‘Mum and baby are both doing incredibly well and we are looking forward to bringing our daughter home and spending time together as a family.’

Taking to her Instagram to share the happy news, proud mum Millie uploaded a gorgeous photo from her hospital bed.

‘Welcome to the world Aurelia Violet Taylor,’ she said.

Millie ended up quitting alcohol in the summer of 2022 after recognising her very unhealthy urge to drink alcohol.

She has spoken candidly about how she began binge drinking at a young age while at boarding school, using alcohol to cope with being away from home, bullying and her own insecurities.

The reality star released Bad Drunk last year, documenting her journey to sobriety and her efforts to let go of the toxic cycles and shame associated with her past.

After joining Made In Chelsea at 21, Millie said her drinking escalated even further as she faced trolling over her appearance, which triggered anxiety and panic attacks.

Millie recalled ‘wanting to drink to blackout’ as she opened up on her ‘addictive tendency’ and the moment she decided to give up alcohol.

Speaking to Claire Sanderson and Gemma Atkinson for Women’s Health UK, she insisted she had to ‘completely abstrain’ from booze because she couldn’t handle having just one drink.

Asked if she would describe herself as an alcoholic, she replied: ‘I think it depends what your definition is.

‘I wasn’t a drinker who depended on drinking alcohol everyday of the week but whenever I drank I wanted to drink to black out and drink, and drink, and drink.

‘I recognise that urge is very unhealthy for me and it is better for me to completely abstain than to have the option of having one.’

Millie admitted she has ‘an alcohol use disorder’ and discussed the grey areas of drinking, as not everyone would be classed as an alcoholic.

She continued: ‘I recognise I have that addictive tendancy. I would say I had an alcohol use disorder.

‘But there is a grey area of drinkers which don’t fall into the catagory of an alcoholic but they regularly drink more than they want to.’

The TV personality went on to recall the moment she reliased she had to become sober and give up booze completely.

She added: ‘I had a particularly bad panic attack when I was hungover and that was the final moment when I said, “Ok I’m never drinking again”.

‘And it’s now been three and a half years.’

Millie also revealed how she hid her Xanax from  Hugo as she reflected her drinking problem.

Speaking to pal Roxie Nafousi on her podcast Rise With Roxie, the Made In Chelsea star said the extent of her alcohol abuse caused ‘damage and drama’ in her marriage.

On addiction affecting their relationship, she said: ‘When I stopped, we had to, you know, really do some work on our relationship because my drinking had been quite problematic… you constantly feel like you’re on the back foot with your partner’.

She continued: ‘I mean, I hid it from him. Like he didn’t know, the Xanax use was like he didn’t really know that was going on…

‘I wouldn’t tell him that I was taking it, but the drinking definitely did cause a lot of fallouts and yeah towards the end I knew also if I didn’t stop that it was really causing the relationship a lot of damage. It was just drama.’

Millie explained that they had to work on their relationship when she finally addressed her issues with addiction – however their split has since been revealed.

Sources close to the pair say they remain committed to co-parenting their young children, who continue to be their priority.

A source revealed: ‘Millie and Hugo are currently going through a separation and have sadly decided to split.

‘They have known each other for many years, and in recent weeks, have had serious conversations about their future, ultimately deciding it’s better for them both to part ways….

‘Their main priority remains their children and family life, and separating is not something they ever hoped would happen…

‘At present, they are considering what living apart might look like and how they plan to navigate co-parenting their young children.

‘It’s been an incredibly difficult start to the year, and one they hope to continue managing in private.’
