Abbie Chatfield has hit back at a fan who accused her of getting an blepharoplasty—a surgical procedure to remove excess skin, fat and muscle from the upper eyelids.
The media personality, 30, denied having had the procedure done in a video she shared to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday.
She drew attention to a line along her eyelid which one critic claimed was a surgical scar, but Abbie insisted it was just ‘dermatitis’ or ‘burst capillaries’.
In the clip, Abbie showed her fans a comment she received from an anonymous user which read: ‘I know an upper bleph scar when I see one.’
‘It’s called dermatitis. It’s called burst capillaries… Guys, I would tell you,’ Abbie responded as she showed her eyelid while lying in bed with her partner, Adam Hyde.
‘I did not get an upper bleph, did I?’ she then asked her beau, who laughed and asked what a ‘bleph’ was.

‘It’s when you get your eyelids cut off,’ Abbie explained.
The former Bachelor star has been open in the past about the cosmetic procedures she has received.
In January 2024, Abbie revealed she was struggling with a dilemma between feeling good about herself and her politics.
Speaking on her It’s A Lot podcast, Abbie talked about her desire to get a nose job.
‘I’ve been scared to even mention this,’ she said.
‘I have a dilemma, a feminist dilemma… I have almost no cartilage or bone in between my eyes. I get filler in that gap to make my nose straighter.’
‘So… should I get a nose job?’ she asked ‘My biggest problem with it is it’s not very feminist or very intersectional.
‘I understand plastic surgery cannot be inherently feminist, and I also understand if I existed in a vacuum where I just lived… without any awareness of how I looked, I wouldn’t want to get this done. This is all the feminist discourse that I’ve seen.’

‘Unfortunately, I don’t live in a f***ing vacuum, I live in a f***ing Big Brother house where every c*** is filming me from every f***ing angle,’ she added.
Later, her producer reassured Abbie that it is not feminist to tell women what to do with their lives, to which Abbie quickly replied: ‘So, should I book it in then?’
Abbie first received a non-surgical rhinoplasty in 2020 when she revealed she had dermal filler injected into the bridge of her nose to reshape it.
She had the procedure done at a clinic in Double Bay and shared the results to Instagram at the time, posting before-and-after photos of her transformation.
In another post, she told fans: ‘Okay I wasn’t going to post anything because I didn’t want the DMs saying “YOU DIDN’T NEED IT YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL” buuuuut… I just got a non-surgical rhinoplasty.’
Abbie, who had travelled to Sydney from the Gold Coast for the procedure at the time, went on to praise her Double Bay doctor for his work.
She continued to express her delight in a video taken on the street outside the clinic.
‘This is my nose. I feel like I’m wearing a beauty filter… I wanted to get a full rhinoplasty; I’ve hated my nose for a while now – the hook, the bump… and this is just life-changing!’
