Robert Irwin has once again melted hearts after committing a very sweet act this week.
Fresh from his US Dancing With The Stars win, Robert, 22, has been in South Africa preparing for the upcoming season of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
He took to Instagram on Friday to share a video of him rescuing a chameleon that had wandered onto the road.
The clip began with the wildlife warrior walking up to the critter and gently picking it up.
‘Alright buddy, it’s ok,’ he said reassuringly. ‘Crossing the road, this little chameleon.’
With the cute critter now safely perched on Robert’s arm, he continued: ‘Isn’t he so cute? He’s not particularly happy with me.’

Robert pointed out how close the chameleon was to danger, adding: ‘You can hear the cars just whizzing past. He’s really, really lucky to be alive.
‘He was crossing right in the middle of the road, but we’ll get him up in this tree where he’s safe.’
Robert was visibly chuffed with his impromptu interaction with the creature.
‘This is so cool,’ he enthused. ‘I love chameleons. This is my favourite animal in Africa.
‘You can tell he’s not too grumpy because he’s nice and green. You can actually tell the mood of a chameleon based on their colour.
‘He’s green, that means he’s happy, and I like to think it’s because he knows I was trying to help him.’
Robert’s sweet post elicited a flurry of comments from fans, with many comparing him to his late father Steve.
‘I know you get compared to your dad all the time, but this could have been him talking,’ one fan gushed,

‘I remember seeing you as a potato on the show as a kid and now you’re showing my son the same stuff your dad showed me.’
A third fan chimed in with: ‘Aww this melts my heart,’ while yet another swooned: ‘I just love this amazing young man!!’
It comes after Robert shared intimate behind-the-scenes details about a fan-favourite video featuring his niece, Grace Warrior.
In the viral clip, Robert can be seen in an elaborate Prince Charming costume while dancing with the four-year-old.
Robert said the clip was filmed ahead of joining his niece and her family for some Halloween trick-or-treating.
‘I knew that she had dressed as Cinderella,’ the Wildlife Warrior explained during an appearance on Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast last month.

Robert, who was appearing on US Dancing With The Stars at the time, said he then turned to the show’s wardrobe team.
He continued: ‘We had just done the Disney episode, and I asked [whether] they could get me or make me a Prince Charming outfit.
‘I remember I walked through the door in the full costume and there she was in a Cinderella costume, and it’s the first time I’ve seen her go all shy, and she says to me: “Oh my gosh, Uncle Robert, you’re Prince Charming”.’
‘She was like “You’ve been Prince Charming this whole time!”, and I thought it was the cutest thing.’
