D’Angelo’s daughter Imani Archer remembered her late father, who died on Tuesday at age 51, with an Instagram post.

She shared a photo of the R&B singer playing guitar as she sat next to him with a smile on her face, posting via Stories.

Imani, 26, added three bandaged heart emojis.

In addition to his daughter, the music artist is survived by two sons — Michael Archer Jr., 27, and Morocco Archer, 15.

He shares Michael II with R&B sensation Angie Stone, who tragically died this past March in a car accident at age 63.

A representative for D’Angelo shared a statement with Daily Mail: ‘It is with profound sadness and the heaviest of hearts that I confirm the passing of Michael D’Angelo Archer.’

His family said In a statement to Variety, ‘The shining star of our family has dimmed his light for us in this life.

‘We are saddened that he can only leave dear memories with his family, but we are eternally grateful for the legacy of extraordinarily moving music he leaves behind.’

The note ended with D’Angelo’s loved one asking for privacy as they grieve their loss.

‘We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time but invite you all join us in mourning his passing while also celebrating the gift of song that he has left for the world,’ it read.

The musician’s former partner Angie was heavily criticized for her romantic relationship with him, as she was 12 years his senior.

On Tuesday their son, who performs under the stage name Swayvo Twain, reflected on losing both of his parents in less than a year.

‘I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers during these very difficult times, as it has been a very rough and sad year for me,’ he shared with People.

He added, ‘I ask that you please continue to keep me in your thoughts as it will not be easy, but one thing that both my parents taught me was to be strong, and I intend to do just that.’

D’Angelo was a four-time Grammy winner, taking home the prize for Best R&B Album for Voodoo and Male R&B Performance for (Untitled) How Does It Feel in 2001.

In 2016 he won Best R&B Album for the December 2014 album Black Messiah as well as Best R&B Song for its track Really Love.

On Tuesday the hitmaker lost his battle with pancreatic cancer, and had reportedly spent the last two weeks of his life in hospice.
