Tanya Guccione has suffered a medical emergency in Bali.

The one-time star of The Block had to be briefly hospitalised after experiencing low blood pressure and nausea.

Posting to her stories on Tuesday, the 43-year-old said some of her symptoms were linked to Bali Belly.

Also known as traveller’s diarrhoea, Bali Belly is caused by consuming contaminated food or water.

‘After visiting Bali 15 times, yes, I refused to believe I had Bali belly,’ she began on Instagram.

‘But the doctor did confirm that if I did have Bali Belly I would be running to the loo and wouldn’t be able to keep anything down, and would actually have cramping, which I did not.’

Tanya also included a snap of herself after her brief hospital stay.

‘After two bags of drip and anti-nausea, I’m not 100 per cent all [good] yet,’ she continued.

‘But it helped A LOT. Thank God I’m just about to jump on a plane.’

Tanya Guccione opened up about her experience on The Block, two years after appearing on the renovation show.

Portrayed as a villain during the 2021 season, Tanya was at the centre of the biggest cheating scandal in The Block’s 17-year history.

She became public enemy number one after taking a photo of the production schedule at the start of the season, which gave her and husband Vito, an unfair advantage.

She later claimed Channel Nine offered ‘no help’ when upset fans and viewers began sending threats to the couple over the scandal, and says she has since spent ‘thousands’ of dollars on therapy.

‘I have the invoices to prove [my therapy costs],’ she told Woman’s Day back in 2023.

‘The show has a responsibility to take care of their talent, who are making them hundreds of thousands of dollars. And I’m not talking about a pay cheque! But real care… care that matters.’

A Nine spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia all participants on The Block have support services during filming.

‘Nine takes its obligations in respect to the health and wellbeing of the participants of this program extremely seriously,’ she spokesperson said.

‘All participants have access to a check-in support service during filming and when the show is on-air.

‘Nine also have an additional service for participants should they like or need further individual and confidential psychological support. This service gives participants access to clinicians who have been specifically engaged to support those involved in the program in relation to their experiences. This service is available to all participants for as long as they need it, it does not end.’

During her season, Tanya initially claimed she had been sent the photo from an ‘anonymous tradie’ but was thrown under the bus during The Block finale in November last year, when fellow contestants Josh and Luke Packham shared details of what happened.

The Love Island twins, 27, implicated Tanya, saying she was the one who took the photo of the production schedule and sent it to them.

She eventually broke down in tears and came clean before going on to place third with Vito, making $400,000 profit after selling their property for $3.8million.

Tanya was quickly inundated by a wave of online backlash following the scandal, prompting her to pull out of all scheduled media interviews.
