Millie Bobby Brown unveiled her surprising last name change just four months after revealing both she and husband Jake Bongiovi adopted a baby girl.
The 21-year-old actress – who recently starred in the first volume of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things – dropped the bombshell during an interview with VT alongside co-star and pal Noah Schnapp.
Last year in 2024, the star tied the knot with Jon Bon Jovi’s son – and in August she announced they welcomed their first child together via adoption.
At one point, Noah was asked if he knew Millie’s full name and he answered, ‘It’s Millie Bonnie Brown.’
But the actress said, ‘Well, now…,’ which prompted the actor to quickly amend with, ‘Millie Bonnie Brown Bongiovi,’ before also including Bobby. Millie corrected him and explained, ‘No Bobby. Start again.’
Noah then began, ‘Millie Bonnie Brown -,’ but was stopped when the actress added, ‘Drop the Brown.’
Her castmate fell into a fit of laughter due to not knowing her full name which caused Millie to express during the humorous moment: ‘Drop the Brown. It’s just Millie Bonnie Bongiovi.’

The lighthearted exchange revealed that the Enola Holmes actress has taken her husband’s last name – and dropped her own.
Earlier this year in March, the actress also shared her middle name for the first time during a conversation with Buzzfeed UK.
‘My middle name is Bonnie,’ the star told fellow actor Chris Pratt, which prompted him to question if her full name was Millie Bobby Bonnie Brown.
She replied, ‘No. It’s no Bobby. It’s Millie Bonnie Brown…I’ve never told anyone that.’
In regards to why the actress changed her middle name to Bobby for her stage name – she jokingly explained it was for ‘s**** and giggles.’
Millie and Jake were first romantically linked back in 2021 and announced their engagement two years later.
At the time, Millie uploaded a black and white photo as Jake lovingly wrapped his arms around the actress from behind as she flashed the diamond engagement ring on her finger.

Millie concluded by adding, ‘And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.’
Shortly after, the couple were seen enjoying a relaxing stroll in NYC while pushing a stroller with their daughter.
And later in September, she also gave her followers a glimpse at their baby girl with an Instagram carousel.
One of the images captured her husband Jake holding a baby carrier on a tarmac as they headed towards a private jet.
Millie has also made the revelation that Noah Schnapp is the godfather of their little one.
‘Noah is the godfather,’ she told Entertainment Tonight earlier this month, and added fellow co-star Sadie Sink is ‘very, very maternal.’

During a recent interview with British Vogue, she gushed about parenting with her husband Jake.
‘We are 50-50 on everything. That’s why I’m so grateful to have partnered with him in this life – he is just the most amazing dad.’
The actress also shared whether she wants more children in the future and said, ‘I really want a big family – I’m one of four; he’s one of four.’
Millie has been keeping busy and reprised her role as Eleven in the fifth and final season of Stranger Things.
Volume one – which consists of four episodes – officially hit the streaming site earlier this week on November 26.

But just as the new episodes were dropped, viewers were shocked to find that they were unable to access the episodes with a ‘Something went wrong’ message popping up on screens instead.
The temporary crash reportedly lasted for around three minutes, with fans of the hit series flocking over to X to voice their concern.
Three more episodes are slated to drop next month on Christmas Day with the finale being released on New Year’s Eve.
