Lisa Kudrow showed off a drastic hair transformation as she was pictured reprising her iconic role as Valerie Cherish on The Comeback.

The star, 62, was seen filming scenes for the third season of the show in Los Angeles on Wednesday, twenty years after the first series aired.

The actress’ signature light blonde tresses were dyed a strawberry red color, and styled into bouncy curls, with bangs framing her face.

Kudrow looked stylish as ever, wearing a frilly white blouse with blue bell bottom jeans and a brown belt.

She carried a tan handbag and completed her look with a pair of heels.

After marking its 20th anniversary on June 5, The Comeback — the beloved comedy co-created by Kudrow and Michael Patrick King — was renewed for a third season at HBO in June.

‘Valerie Cherish has found her way back to the current television landscape. Neither of us are surprised she did,’ Kudrow and Michael Patrick King said in a statement at the time.

HBO’s Amy Gravitt added: ‘No matter what the industry throws at her, Valerie Cherish is a survivor.’

‘On the 20th anniversary of her debut, Michael Patrick King and Lisa Kudrow have brilliantly scripted her return to HBO, and we can’t wait to see that.’

Kudrow reprises her character on The Comeback 11 years after season two wrapped.

Lisa slipped back into Valerie’s shoes in a video she posted to YouTube and Instagram back in June.

‘This is the last one, last time. Never doing this again,’ she declared in Valerie’s snippy tone and nasally accent.

After several takes in which she trips up on her lines, Kudrow said, ‘Well, I’ve got a new show, how’s that and I’m so excited,’ and stormed off set.

The Comeback season 3 will return to HBO and HBO Max in 2026.

Lisa and King have long talked about having a third season with the caveat that it wouldn’t happen until King was done with And Just Like That.

The Comeback somehow managed to skewer reality TV tropes despite premiering in 2005, a full year before the first Real Housewives franchise launched.

Season one introduced Valerie as a mid-tier sitcom actor whose return to a network comedy called Room and Bored was being documented by a reality series titled The Comeback.

The second season is presented as found footage shot by a camera crew originally commissioned by Valerie.

Lisa’s pre-Friends career started with a role on Cheers in 1989 and as a recurring guest star on Mad About You, where she played the ditzy waitress Ursula.

When she started on Friends in 1994, her character Phoebe was said to be Ursula’s twin sister.

Kudrow was the first Friends cast member to win an Emmy Award. She won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Friends in 1998.

More recently, Kudrow starred in Netflix’s No Good Deed, an eight-episode dark comedy series, written by Dead To Me creator Liz Feldman.

The show follows three vastly different families who are all trying to buy the same 1920s Spanish style villa in Los Angeles, before realizing that their dream home may be more of a nightmare.

One review from a viewer on Rotten Tomatoes said: ‘Hilarious, full of drama, plot twists – everything you want a show to be!’

‘Lisa Kudrow is fantastic in her role and both shows comedic and real emotional depths to her character which is just so entertaining to watch.’I did really enjoy all the side stories and how they managed to link it all together in the final episode.’

She also starred as Liddy in the 2025 comedy horror The Parenting.

The film follows a couple who rents a countryside house for a weekend with their parents and find out that it’s inhabited by a 400-year-old poltergeist.
