David Beckham continued to celebrate his knighthood on Friday as he partied at a Cotswolds pub with ‘blaring music and £55 bottles of wine’.

The former footballer, 50, is said to have taken over The Bull in Charlbury with a group of close friends and his sons Romeo and Cruz – who performed a specially written song to mark the occasion.

After being bestowed the honour by King Charles at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, he celebrated with an intimate family dinner at pal Gordon Ramsay’s Chelsea restaurant before heading back to his £12million country retreat.

According to reports, locals were surprised when David joined in ‘dancing and singing’ with revellers at the venue.

Aspiring singer Cruz is said to have belted out: ‘King Charles came to David Beckham and knighted him my man / You’re a knight you get my heart tonight.’

One pub goer told The Sun, it was ‘kicking off,’ and added: ‘When the dinner finished, Becks and his crew of blokes left the pub’s safari tent and filtered into the main adjoining pub for dancing and singing.’

They added: ‘Everyone was in high spirits. The locals couldn’t believe they’d been treated to a night with Becks there. The music was blaring out and everyone was singing along.’

According to the pub’s website the private tent can hold up to 100 guests with dinner starting at £65pp for three courses.

Daily Mail has contacted the Beckham’s representative for comment.

Sir David was made a knight of the British empire for services to sport and charity during Tuesday’s investiture, notably his impact on football over a twenty year period and subsequent ambassadorial role with UNICEF.

The former footballer was welcomed by King Charles while receiving his knighthood at Windsor Castle for services to sport and charity, and his younger sons were among the first to offer their congratulations.

A source close to the family revealed to the Daily Mail that family friend Gordon was delighted to host the dinner party as his gift to his best pal in London on Tuesday.

‘As David’s best friend, Gordon decided the best gift was to throw him a wonderful dinner,’ an insider spilled.

‘David was there, their kids, his sisters, parents and Victoria’s mum and dad.’

The couple were joined by three of their four children – Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, as well as David and Victoria’s extended family.

Their eldest son Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola, 30, snubbed the festivities and have failed to acknowledge David’s achievement on social media.

Their silence is just the latest slight after months of family feuding.

When it was announced his father was to be knighted back in the spring, Brooklyn didn’t congratulate him either publicly or privately, while his other two sons made a huge fuss of the news on social media.

Brooklyn is said to have become increasingly estranged from the family after failing to attend any of his father’s 50th birthday celebrations in May.
