Kelly Dodd is accused of sharing footage of a woman engaged in sexual activity last summer – and could face potential time in jail as a result.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum, 50, is accused of distributing video of a female identified as Jane Doe masturbating and having sex with another person, prosecutors said in legal documents reviewed by TMZ.
Dodd was not granted consent to release the footage, prosecutors said in legal documents, which described her alleged actions as unlawful and intentional.
The Jane Doe referenced in the video suffered what was described as ‘severe emotional distress’ as a result of her inclusion in the unauthorized footage.
Dodd is accused of recording the sexual activity in a place where the person identified as Jane Doe would’ve had expectations of privacy, according to the court filing.
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Dodd for further comment on the story.

Dodd and the Jane Doe had made a pact to not release the material, prosecutors said in court docs.
During that time frame, the reality star is accused of threatening the Jane Doe with potential injury to her person, property and relatives, according to legal docs reviewed by the outlet.
Dodd is also facing legal issues tied to a confrontation with a separate woman in June of 2025, which the outlet dubbed a battery charge.
Dodd was a regular on the Orange County branch of the Real Housewives TV franchise between seasons 11 and 15, spanning 2016 to 2021.
She’s been wed to one-time Fox News personality Rick Leventhal, 66, for more than five years, as the pair tied the knot in October of 2020.
Dodd was past wed to Michael Dodd from 2006 to 2018, and the former couple share daughter Jolie, 19. Prior to that, she was wed to Scott Silva between 2001-2004.
Dodd last November made headlines after a voicemail surfaced of her chastising Jolie over a number of perceived slights – including blocking her ‘on everything’ and siding with her father over an unnamed dispute.
Dodd purportedly sent the voicemail to one of her daughter’s friends following the aforementioned blocks, saying that she had recorded material that would humiliate her daughter if it publicly surfaced.

‘I have recordings of you screaming at your dad because he hasn’t taken you on vacation, screaming that he didn’t buy you a car,’ Dodd said. ‘Do you remember those recordings that I saved? I have those and I am gonna publicly put them out there. Do you understand?’
She continued, ‘You’re going to look like a fool, you dumb little girl. You’re stupid, OK, for even thinking that you’re gonna win. I’m sorry you have mental illness.’
Dodd later took to Instagram to explain the clip, saying she had been quoted out of context by unreliable sources.
‘Just remember when you hear others popping off, spreading false information and damaging innuendo against me, consider the source and their agenda,’ she said.
Dodd added, ‘There’s a lot of BS circulating in the media about me and I wish I could address it all but I can’t now… but I will soon and the truth will knock your socks off.
‘Love you guys and really appreciate all the support and understanding you’re [sending] my way.’
She said in an adjacent reel, ‘Everybody wants me to talk about what is going on, and I’m going to.
‘And when I do, you guys are going to die when you hear the whole story. Not right now. I can’t right now. But it’s going to be shortly, you watch. And you will learn the truth.’
