The Osbourne family have suffered more tragedy before Christmas as they mourn the loss of The Wire star James Ransone.
The actor, who is believed to have died by suicide last Friday at the age of 46 and just days before Christmas, was a family friend of the Osbournes.
Following the tragic news, his pal Jack took to social media to share a heartbreaking tribute and throwback picture of him having dinner with James.
Jack, 40, wrote to his followers: ‘Rest peacefully, James “PJ” Ransone. I will miss you deeply. The crazy chats, the laughter, all of it.
‘I was so lucky to have called you my friend for 24 years. Damn, we had some wild times. I will always be grateful for you.’
He ended his tribute: ‘Sending so much love to Jamie, Jack and Violet.’

Jack’s sister Kelly, 41, also shared her own tribute and picture of James.
She penned: ‘I have no words! This one really hits hard. RIP @jamesransone my heart is broken.’
His death comes just five months after the Osbournes lost Black Sabbath legend Ozzy, who died on July 22 at the age of 76.
Just this week Kelly revealed how the family will gather at Sharon’s Buckinghamshire home she shared with Ozzy before his death for Christmas.
James is survived by his wife, Jamie McPhee, and their two children, son Jack, six, and daughter Violet, four.
The star was best known for his role as Ziggy Sobotka in HBO‘s hit crime drama The Wire.
James’ wife has since added a fundraiser benefiting the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to her social media profile.
James’ final television appearance came earlier this year in a season two episode of Poker Face, which aired in June.

In film, Ransone’s credits spanned genres, from horror to indie drama. His roles included Prom Night (2008), Sinister (2012), Sinister 2 (2015), Tangerine (2015), Mr. Right (2015), It Chapter Two (2019), The Black Phone (2021) and the upcoming Black Phone 2 (2025).
Ransone was open in recent years about deeply personal struggles.
In 2021, he publicly shared that he was a survivor of sexual abuse.
He had also spoken candidly about addiction and recovery, revealing in a 2016 Interview Magazine profile that he got sober at age 27 after years of heroin use.
‘People think I got sober working on the ‘Generation Kill.’ I didn’t,’ he said at the time.
‘I sobered up six or seven months before that. I remember going to Africa and I was going to be there for almost a year.
‘I was number two on the call sheet and I was like, ‘I think somebody made a mistake. This is too much responsibility for me.’
