The 23-year-old, who previously dated actress Maggie Thurmon, slipped his muscular frame into the skimpy number and then pranced around on a yacht in a video shared to Instagram.
He was lip syncing to his upcoming single The Time of My Life in the clip, indicating that the crossdressing stunt was most likely a way for Boone to promote his new music.
The video was also a recreation of a recent viral TikTok from influencer Alix Earle.
While most fans on social media praised Boone for switching up his wardrobe, some others felt that the hitmaker may have been ‘queerbaiting’ in a bid to appeal to LGBTQ audiences.
