Sadie is making her West End debut after completing work on Stranger Things, the hugely successful Netflix show responsible for turning her into a household name.
The fifth and final season aired to mixed reviews in December, with Sadie reprising her role as skateboarding tomboy Max Mayfield for the last time.
‘It feels more like a relief that it’s complete and just such a joy to share it with people,’ she told British Vogue last month. ‘Or maybe my brain’s so scattered that I can’t actually even think about the fact that it’s over.’
She is now braced for a three month stay in the English capital while she and Jupe play doomed lovers in the latest interpretation of Shakespeare’s enduringly popular tragedy.
The actors admitted they are yet to establish a working dynamic, having only rehearsed together twice.
‘We did a chemistry read together and that was, what, like an hour?’ Sadie revealed. ‘And then the second time we met.’
‘We had to do a full-on photoshoot for it,’ added Jupe, a referenced to the promotional posters currently lining tube station walls across London.

It comes after Noah confessed that he was hesitant to audition when he first learned about the role, but was converted after learning of director Robert Icke’s ‘fresh and new’ take on the story.
Sadie added that she also had reservations about playing Shakespeare, as she feared there’s a certain ‘right or wrong way’ to play the part.
The Stranger Things star said: ‘Rob has such a great way of modernising Shakespeare in a way that just enriches the original text.
‘Before I met him, I wasn’t really interested in doing Shakespeare. It wasn’t like Juliet was a dream role of mine.
‘But then in re-reading it, but also reading it under the lens of Rob and his vision for it, I felt like this is actually something that I want to do and feel like I need to, right now.’
Noah added: ‘When I first got the audition through, I was like ”Romeo and Juliet, again?”
‘Everyone’s done it so many times, but then within five minutes of speaking to Rob, I was like, ‘No, this is going to be completely fresh and new.’
