Officers were alerted to shots fired at 9:52 p.m., local time, the Raleigh Police Department told People regarding the incident.

Upon arriving they found the victim, ‘who reported that an unknown suspect riding an e-bike had fired a shot at their vehicle while they were driving.’ Two other people were in the vehicle at the time.

‘During the course of the investigation, detectives identified Ethan Jamieson (27) as the individual who discharged a single gunshot in the direction of the victims’ vehicle,’ police said. Jamieson was then arrested and charged.

Jamieson has previously been arrested in March 2025 and charged with resisting arrest. The alleged incident also took place in Raleigh, where Jamieson currently resides.

He was sentenced for the 2025 offense on March 26, 2026, three days after his latest alleged assault.

Prior to his recent arrests, the actor had a short-lived career as a child star.

He made his acting debut on the popular TV show One Tree Hill, starring in a 2009 episode as ‘Kid #2.’

In 2010 he starred as Ethan in the TV movie The Rusty Bucket Kids: Lincoln, Journey to 16. That same year he also appeared in a short film titled Gravity.

In 2012 he was cast in The Hunger Games, which also starred Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence as well as Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.

He also appeared as himself in the 2012 documentary The World Is Watching: Making the Hunger Games, which showed a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the hit movie.

In 2017 he went on to appear on the TV mini series Extras: The Hunger Games.

After the success of The Hunger Games, a 13-year-old Jamieson told LancasterOnline in March 2012, ‘I knew that the books were popular, but I didn’t know that the movie was going to be so big.’

At the time Jamieson said that it was ‘pretty awesome’ how fans recognized him and asked for autographs at the Los Angeles red carpet premiere of the film.

Despite starring in the huge blockbuster, Jamieson said he didn’t want to pursue acting as a full-time career.

‘I want to be just a normal person,’ he said.
