Hilary Duff revealed her family-of-six was generously allowed to move into a certain A-lister’s mansion temporarily after being forced to evacuate from their $3.85M five-bedroom Beverly Hills home during the LA wildfires.
There were 14 total wildfires raging between January 7-31, 2025 in Southern California – which reportedly killed 440 people, forced over 200,000 people to evacuate and destroyed over 18,000 structures.
Celebrities who lost their homes in the blaze included Mel Gibson, Jeff Bridges, Anna Faris, Cary Elwes, Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, Eugene Levy, Steve Guttenberg, Matt Damon, Billy Crystal, Jhené Aiko, Tyra Banks, Harvey Guillén, Candy Spelling, Milo Ventimiglia, as well as celeb couples Adam Brody & Leighton Meester and Ed Harris & Amy Madigan.
The only one arrested for arson – former Uber driver Jonathan Rinderknecht – faces a federal trial April 21 on three charges for his alleged role in the Lachman Fire, which eventually became the Palisades Fire.
It was none other than Cameron Diaz and her husband of 11 years, Benji Madden, who kindly welcomed Duff into their $16.5 million seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion inside the Beverly Crest neighborhood.

The 53-year-old Back in Action actress and the 46-year-old Good Charlotte guitarist – who share daughter Raddix, six, and son Cardinal, nearly two – also reportedly own a $12.67 million Montecito mansion and a $9.5 million Chelsea condo.

‘It was so selfless he was like, “Let’s just make this for you. Let’s talk about all the things that bounce around inside [your head]. And then he just executed it so beautifully. And I got to, like, interior design the whole process, which is exactly what I like to do.’
