Chrissy Teigen went for the chop as she debuted a new straight-cut hairdo on Wednesday via her Instagram Stories.
The TV personality and cookbook author, 40, who has traditionally worn her hair long with the help of extensions, was clearly loving the lighter look in the clip that showed her on the couch wearing a black sports bra with a cozy blanket covering her stomach.
She wore minimal makeup and her one accessory appeared to be a pair of delicate gold necklaces.
Teigen, who has landed a glamorous gig on the Star Search reboot, kept fluffing her hair that was still damp from a wash to show off the blunt effect.
‘chop chop feeling so light,’ she wrote in the caption.
The mother of four, who has two daughters and two boys with husband John Legend, 47, credited her hairstylist, Irinel de Leon, and Priscilla Valles, who is responsible for her extensions.

‘My babies thank you!’ Teigen wrote over the post.
The last time Teigen ditched her extensions was in February 2025 when she showed off a flattering bob hairstyle at The Grammys.
Teigen has been open about her hair affairs and revealed last year that she’d had a ‘hairline lowering procedure.’
It served to explain the photo she posted of herself in the hospital with a bandaged head.
‘Hi friends! [A lot] of you have been wondering about my hospital pic, which is very understandable as I gave no explanation lol. I had a hairline-lowering procedure,’ she informed her followers, sharing a photo of herself with stitches at her hairline.
Teigen explained she had experienced some postpartum hair loss after the birth of her children, which is why she opted to move her hairline forward.
‘Lost a lot [of hair] in the front from babies and it’s just very thin up there,’ she wrote, adding, ‘When you see it on a carpet, it’s ALWAYS extensions.’
Teigen’s new look comes after she revealed she is sober again after letting alcohol back in her life.

The model initially quit drinking in December 2020 but her bad habit with alcohol had crept back into her life.
She now credits Summer House star Carl Radke, who shared his own sobriety story on her Self-Conscious podcast, with changing her life.
In a lengthy Instagram post, she began, ‘I am grateful to @carlradke. Not for just all the years on Bravo he has blessed us with, but because of his honesty and openness around his own journey with sobriety.
‘As you know, I’ve had my own. After being sober for a little over a year, I went back to drinking. I promised myself it would be in a “mindful” way. I wanted to be able to have a glass of wine on a date night with my husband. To be able to toast on birthdays. How lucky I am to have the life I have — I want to enjoy it! And I think that was my first problem. Tying drinking to reward or like some sort of life prize.’
She revealed she started reaching for the wine on a frequent, regular basis.
‘The time went from 6pm, to 5, to 4, to aw hell, it’s lunch, why not. When it got to 11am, I was like, oh f***, here we go again,’ Teigen wrote.
Teigen’s new job on Star Search spurred her to quit drinking because she didn’t want to mess it up
‘Within the same week of talking to Carl, I stopped drinking again. I had been in talks for Star Search and knew that if I were given the incredible chance to be on the show, there was absolutely no f****** way I’d do it with alcohol in my dressing room,’ she admitted.

Teigen noted how it feels different this time around.
‘I think the biggest difference between now and the first time is that there’s no pomp around it. The first time I put my foot down, it was EXCITING. The momentum was fun and kept me going on the right track. The second time… I dunno,’ she reflected.
Teigen added, ‘If everyone around you kind of loses faith or if you do yourself, or a mix of both. Or maybe no one wants to get too excited.
‘Like an old boyfriend you talked so much s*** about to your friends, then you get back together with them and everyone just stops caring because who knowwwwws what’s gonna happen next.’
