Married At First Sight fans have slammed the series’ anti-woke intruder groom Tyson Gordon after a controversial debut on Monday.

The former soldier, 30, wasted no time revealing his very forthright and unwavering beliefs, admitting he had absolutely no time for ‘woke culture’.

He also had an awkward run-in with bride Stephanie Marshall, 32, over children and gender roles in their newly minted marriage.

MAFS fans took to X in droves to slam Tyson over what they said were antiquated attitudes to relationships and women.

‘Tyson is so f***ing annoying like, being anti-woke as your SOLE personality trait is as much of a turn-off as being an annoying woke,’ one viewer wrote.

Another claimed that Tyson’s desire for submissiveness from his reality bride was a cover for control.

‘New groom Tyson wants a submissive wife. Translation: He wants to be in control, push around, give orders and bully?’ they wrote.

‘Marriage isn’t a combat zone, he should soften that militant approach.’

It didn’t stop there, with another viewer taking issue with Tyson’s support of US President Donald Trump.

‘Why is this loser worrying about the US president?’ they asked. ‘Get bent, goof. He’s not your president and I’m American and don’t consider him mine, either.’

Another agreed, adding: ‘”I support Trump” was all I had to hear… was not interested in these two after that… embarrassing.’

Yet another MAFS fan offered: ‘I think this guy just wants a woman who’ll shut up, stay home and do what she’s told.’

While others likened Tyson to controversial ‘manosphere’ figure Andrew Tate, others were left cold at Tyson’s desire for a large family, despite Stephanie’s protests.

‘Tyson wanna carry and birth those 5 children, does he?’ one viewer asked.

Speaking about his perfect match before Monday’s ceremony, Tyson told producers: ‘I want to make sure she has the same beliefs, the same values, the same morals and principles as me.’

‘I wouldn’t want a woman that’s woke with green hair and super overweight. I’m not into that,’ he added.

His laundry list of turn-offs also included women with high body counts and women with children as he is: ‘not here to look after someone’s kids.’

Tyson then took umbrage with the fact that he was paired with an older woman.

‘I asked for someone younger,’ he said. ‘The fact she’s 32, I’m not too happy about that. I was hoping to get a wife in her mid-20s.’

He was also unimpressed with Stephanie’s vows, complaining that she displayed too much masculine energy and not enough ‘submissiveness.’

Things went from bad to worse at the reception when Stephanie brought up an earlier conversation in which Tyson revealed he wanted five children.

Addressing a bridesmaid, she said: ‘Apparently we’re having five children, before addressing Tyson with: ‘I don’t know who you’re having those five kids with.’

When the bridesmaid questioned Tyson on how children would fit into their busy schedules, he replied flatly: ‘Get a maid.’

He also revealed to Stephanie that he thought child-rearing was no big deal.

‘Honestly, how hard can it be? It’s only this big,’ he said, holding out his arms.

‘You’ve just got to feed it, take it to the toilet, and that’s it.’

When Stephanie asked Tyson if he would consider taking on the house-husband role, it was a hard: ‘Hell, no.’

‘You may as well ask me to wear a skirt around the house,’ he said.

During some one-on-one time, Tyson reiterated his desire to never be a stay-at-home dad, adding that he was concerned by Stephanie’s ‘masculine energy’.

‘Does the masculine energy make me unattractive to you?’ she asked.

He replied: ‘A little bit. I think there’s nothing better than a woman that’s submissive.’

This did not sit well with Stephanie, who told producers: ‘We don’t live in the bloody 1960s anymore.’

Married At First Sight continues Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine.
