David Beckham has reportedly sold his lavish penthouse in Miami for a large profit, six years after purchasing the luxury pad.

The former footballer, 50, bought the condo back in 2020 for $19.8 million (£17.15 million) through his London-based company, Beckham Brand Limited.

And according to The New York Post, he has now sold it for a whopping $24.6 million, earning him a tidy $4.8 million profit on his investment.

The property is all the way up on the 59th floor of One Thousand Museum, which at 62 storeys and a height of 215m is one of the tallest buildings in the city.

The residence boasted five bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, ceiling-to-floor windows and and spacious balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, as well as Miami’s first private helipad.

Each apartment inside the One Thousand Museum features Italian kitchens with quartz countertops, by Gatto Cucine and spa-like bathrooms.

David and wife Victoria also had access to the tower’s double-level gym and spa, infinity-edge pool, and hair and beauty complex.

The building houses 82 separate units, a Sky Lounge for residents’ use, an Aquatic Center, 24-hour security and a private cinema.

Daily Mail has contacted representatives for David for comment.

The eye-catching luxury condo was designed by late star architect Zaha Hadid, who died in Miami in 2016 aged 65, when the tower was built up to about the eighth floor.

Some of its quirkier features include, customised ‘scenting’ throughout the common areas, fresh flower deliveries and event planning services.

The lavish pad was used as a base for the Beckham family, after David launched his Inter Miami football team in 2018, with all four of his and Victoria’s children frequently staying there.

But even though he has reportedly now sold the penthouse, the couple still own a $72.25 million (£60 million) mansion in Miami Beach.

Built in 2018, the vast property which overlooks Biscayne Bay, comes with a range of stunning features, including a huge number of bedrooms, four half-bathrooms and a chef’s kitchen.

And according to The New York Post, he has now sold it for a whopping $24.6 million, earning him a tidy $4.8 million profit on his investment

David and Victoria can also enjoy their own private cinema, a gym, a spa and a pool.

Outside, the property boasts an outdoor kitchen, a rooftop lounge and 124-feet of frontage on Biscayne Bay.

The Beckhams were previously said to have bought the nine-bedroom property in 2024 after coming to feel at home in Miami.

As source told the Mail in October 2024 that the whole Beckham family had been to see the house and ‘everyone loves it’.

The mansion also allowed the family to be close to eldest son Brooklyn, after he relocated to the US with his wife Nicola Peltz – whose family owns a sprawling oceanfront estate in Palm Beach.

The aspiring chef, 26, tied the knot with the heiress at the $85.6million, 44,000-square-foot home, which boasts 27 bedrooms, an enormous outdoor pool, tennis courts and a guest house, sitting on a whopping 13-acres of land.

However, relations between the couple and the Beckhams have since soured, and last month Brooklyn released a scathing six-page statement publicly disowning his parents and accusing them of trying to break up his relationship with Nicola, 31,

The pair have now embarked on a luxurious life in Los Angeles, reportedly getting a $1million a month allowance from her billionaire father Nelson, 83.

But while Brooklyn has made clear he does not wish to reconcile with his family ever again, sources close to the clan said he would always be welcomed back into the fold, should he want to.

And on Friday, David shared a touching tribute to his estranged son on social media as he sorted through his humungous collection of football boots.

The father-of-four has kept each pair he has worn on the pitch in storage and shared snaps of his archive with fans.

Visible to eagle-eyed fans was Brooklyn and his siblings’ names, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, embroidered onto the shoes.

David famously had his children’s names etched onto his boots throughout his sporting career in tribute of them.

His professional football career began in 1992 with Manchester United, where he spent over a decade at the club before moving to Real Madrid in 2003, and then for LA Galaxy between 2007 and 2012.

It comes after it was revealed last week that Brooklyn has dealt his family another crushing blow amid their feud, by covering up several tattoo tribute he had for them.

The hot sauce owner previously had a large anchor tattoo inked on his upper right arm, that once carried the word ‘Dad’ through it.

One tattoo dedicated to David was of an anchor inked on his upper right arm, that carried the words ‘Dad’ through it.

Directly underneath was the message ‘Love you Bust’, in reference to David’s endearing nickname for his first born, Buster.

However, new pictures showed Brooklyn has covered up the word ‘Dad’ with nondescript shapes and a star, while the text of his dad’s nickname has also faded and is less prominent.

The eldest Beckham child also seems to have removed his siblings Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, from his body.

Just one week ago the inkings he had of each of their names on his fingers were visible in a cooking video. Now, they have been inked over.

Last year, Brooklyn also had his ‘mama’s boy’ chest tattoo tribute for his Spice Girl mother Victoria covered up.

Brooklyn’s numerous tattoos in honour of wife Nicola, 31, are still prominently displayed on his body.

Brooklyn Beckham’s statement in full

I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.

I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.

Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.

My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped. My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.

Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children.

They were adamant on me signing before my wedding date because then the terms of the deal would be initiated. My holdout affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since.

During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me “evil” because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola’s Naunni at our table, because they both didn’t have their husbands. Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to ours.

The night before our wedding, members of my family told me that Nicola was “not blood” and “not family.” Since the moment I started standing up for myself with my family, I’ve received endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press on their orders.

Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last Summer.

My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.

She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.

My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one. My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable.

Despite this, we still travelled to London for my dad’s birthday and were rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him. He refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner.

When he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited. It was a slap in the face. Later, when my family travelled to LA, they refused to see me at all.

My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first. Family “love” is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo opp, even if it’s at the expense of our professional obligations.

We’ve gone out of our way for years to show up and support at every fashion show, every party, and every press activity to show ‘our perfect family.’ But the one time my wife asked for my mum’s support to save displaced dogs during the LA fires, my mum refused.

The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared.

I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief. My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.
