Adam Hyde, the boyfriend of controversial reality TV star Abbie Chatfield, has revealed the bizarre reason people have threatened to ‘bash’ and ‘kill’ him.
The Peking Duk frontman, 35, who also goes by the stage name Keli Holiday, detailed the shocking moments on his partner’s It’s A Lot podcast.
He said men screamed at him from their cars on two separate occasions, allegedly threatening to kill him because of his relationship with Abbie.
‘I mean, it’s kind of hit a boiling point now where I feel the need to address it,’ he told his partner, who got her start in the Bachelor franchise.
‘I mean, twice in the last week and a half, I’ve been threatened with violence in real life, like in the street.’
Abbie, 30, went on to interject, clarifying the first incident happened close to their home in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.

‘I think it was a week and a half ago, it was like 7.30am and I was walking down the street,’ Adam continued.
‘One car came past and I kind of just heard yelling and there was screaming. Homophobic slurs, really bad words mixed with death threats [and] bashing threats.
‘I was confused first and foremost. I looked around. I was the only one on the street…then another car came behind them and started doing the same thing.
‘A convoy of incels were like, “We’re gonna f***ing kill you, bro.” Saying crazy words that I don’t want to repeat, really gnarly words.
‘One of them said, “We’re gonna kill you ya cuck. Peking cuck, Keli Holiday cuck.”‘
Adam went on to detail a second incident which happened on Saturday, January 24 ahead of the Hottest 100 countdown, where his hit Dancing2 came in at number two.
‘I remember I went to fill up my car at the petrol station and I was filling it up and it’s right there like on Bondi Road. So, it’s like a very visible spot,’ he recalled.
He added that a fan ‘across the street’ recognised him and asked to take a photo.

‘Then I hear this dude screaming out, “You f***ing—’ and says the F word again, the F slur. The homophobic slur,’ he continued.
‘And there’s a car filled with these young boys and he’s got his phone out as he’s saying it.
‘And he’s like, “You! You!” and then another dude in the car behind goes, “We’re gonna bash ya!” That was gnarly. And you know, it left me feeling like s***.
‘It left me feeling f***ing s***. Like really p***ed off but more so just really sad. I was like, how has this come to this? What are we doing here?
‘A few words online then leads to this? For what? Because I love my girlfriend.
‘Honestly, tell me why you got hate for me. Give me one good reason. It doesn’t make any sense.’
Adam and Abbie went on to reveal they ‘constantly receive death threats’ which include their address.
‘That’s not a f***ing joke. That’s serious shit,’ he fumed.
‘I knew these men would be emboldened in their weirdness,’ Abbie added. ‘It is becoming normalised and glamourised.
‘They use violent rhetoric online to try to harass and abuse people that they see as diverging from what they see as they norm.’
