All eyes were on Kristie Mewis as she walked down the aisle to marry Matildas captain Sam Kerr on New Year’s Eve 2025.

The soccer star looked a veritable goddess as she emerged in a lingerie-inspired, off-shoulder gown by Israeli design house Berta, which featured beading, semi-sheer lace and a daringly short hemline.

Of course, the question on everyone’s mind is now: how much did it cost?

While Mewis has described the dress as her ‘dream gown,’ she hasn’t revealed the price.

Fashion insiders, however, are speculating that for a custom, couture-level design with intricate beading and delicate fabric, the number could easily climb into the tens of thousands of dollars.

A look at comparable designs by Berta would place Mewis’ gown at around $12,000 – however, the price could well exceed this depending on the level of customisation.

Kristie and Sam spared no expense on their big day, renting Dionysus Villa – a stunning $3million Venetian-style mansion – in their home town of Perth.

Over 100 people attended the stunning venue, with guests first arriving at the Crown Towers resort in Burswood before being transported 30 minutes north-east to the manor.

Kerr’s international teammates had flown in from all around the world to celebrate their skipper’s wedding, with Steph Catley, Caitlin Foord, Emily Van Egmond, Alanna Kennedy, and Mackenzie Arnold all pictured smiling for photos.

The ceremony took place in the front courtyard of the Dionysus Villa, with guests taking a seat to watch the footballing power couple tie the knot on the front lawn.

Kerr walked down the aisle with her seven-month-old son Jagger, with Mewis holding back the tears, having previously predicted that this part of the ceremony ‘was going to be gut-wrenching’ for her.

‘I will sob when that happens,’ Kristie had also told the Mewis Squared podcast in the days preceding the wedding. Jagger had also been wearing a matching tuxedo that matched the same one his mum Kerr was wearing.

The Chelsea striker, who made her long-awaited return to the football pitch after overcoming an ACL injury in September, then gave her son to her dad, Roger, so that she could recite her wedding vows.

Kerr held Mewis’ hands and grinned, before the smitten couple said ‘I do’.

Guests cheered and applauded them as they walked back down the aisle before sharing a kiss.

Ahead of the evening, Mewis changed into a plain white corset and skirt, which again featured a transparent gown that overlaid her skirt.

A long table had been set out in the centre of the courtyard, with multiple smaller round tables placed around it, with guests sitting down for dinner.

Daily Mail has also seen what was on the drinks menu, with guests able to sample a delectable range of cocktails, which included Moscow mules and spicy margaritas.

Fizzy options were also available, including Pol Roger Brut champagne and Felix Idee Fixe.

For wine, Forest Hill Riesling, Shaw and Smith Sauvignon Blanc were all on the menu, with guests also able to sample a range of beers and ales.

After the dinner concluded, the tables were cleared and guests congregated on a chequered dance floor.

Kerr and Van Egmond were then seen dancing while on another member of the wedding party’s shoulders.

Kerr and Mewis had stayed in the Crown Towers top suite for four nights, and on Saturday, were seen jetting back to London with their son Jagger.
