Euphoria actress Alanna Ubach has accused a Lyft driver of stealing a package containing $1,000, which led to the company permanently removing the driver from their platform.
The Downey, California-born actress, 50, told TMZ Thursday that she reported being the victim of grand theft after the driver defaulted on an arrangement to take a package from her in Hollywood, California in and deliver it to someone else.
Ubach said the driver misled her to believe that package delivery was a service provided by Lyft.
Ubach said she used paper towels and tape to secure a package containing $1,000 cash, but the driver never made it to where she wanted it dropped off.
Ubach, who plays the role of Suze on the series opposite Sydney Sweeney, Zendaya and Jacob Elordi, said that the driver turned off his phone when he arrived at the address she provided him with.
Daily Mail has reached out to the LAPD and Ubach’s rep for further comment on this story.

Ubach, who also has worked on shows such as The Last of Us, Family Guy and Mythic Quest, said that the person she intended to send the cash to waited outside for 45 minutes, but the driver failed to arrive.
Ubach told TMZ she contacted reps with the rideshare company to file a grievance.
At that time, Ubach said she was informed that package delivery was not a service offered.
Ubach said Lyft told her that the driver denied knowing about the transaction or being involved in any way.
A Lyft spokesperson told Daily Mail in a statement that immediate measures were taken upon receiving Ubach’s report.
‘We understand how distressing this situation is for the rider involved, and we take reports like this seriously,’ the spokesperson said.
‘Lyft is in contact with the rider and we have permanently removed the driver from the platform.’
The spokesperson clarified that ‘using Lyft rides to transport or deliver unaccompanied goods is not permitted and violates our Terms of Service.

‘In cases involving alleged misuse of the platform, Lyft has established processes to assist law enforcement, including helping them obtain relevant records and conducting internal investigations as appropriate.’
Ubach said the transaction was tied to bills in the name of her late sister, who passed away in November.
Ubach’s character on Euphoria, Suzane ‘Suze’ Howard is the storyline mother of Cassie Howard (Sweeney) and Alexis ‘Lexi’ Howard (Maude Apatow).
The character is estranged from ex Gus Howard (Nick Blood) and is depicted as having a drinking problem.
