‘To my beloved family, my brilliant husband, Matthew Broderick, who has been my husband for just shy of 30 years,’ she began.

As she gushed about her husband, she quipped that he ‘was giving me a family discount and all access pass to his masterclass in acting, comedy and dedication.

Then, she mentioned their three children while their eldest son was also sitting in the audience to accompany them.

‘And to the family we have made our divine James Wilkie, Loretta and Tabitha,’ she said, taking a pause as she got choked up while looking adoringly at her eldest child.

‘Oh God, I love you so deeply and admire so much the people you are becoming, that every day at home and at work, I want to make you proud.’

She also gave a shoutout to her parents, her longtime team as well as her Sex and the City costars and Carol Burnett, the famed actress, now 92.

At the end of her speech, she walked over to her husband and gave him a kiss.

During her speech, she recalled her parents, both actors, and their love story as she talked about how they shared with her the passion for entertainment and ‘daunting privilege’ of her first role, which was on Broadway.

She also got teary-eyed as she talked about filming Sex and the City with her castmates in New York City for over two decades.

Mentioning them by their four characters’ names, she expressed her gratitude to have spent ’25 years with the most glorious ensemble of women and actors.’

The Carol Burnett Award recognizes ‘outstanding contributions to television on or off screen.’

She gushed about how she idolized Burnett growing up and called her the ‘north star’ that led to her first role and later her decades-spanning career in television.

The Golden Eve special was held at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles to honor Helen Mirren in addition to SJP.

While Parker was recognized for television excellence, Helen Mirren received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for film excellence.

The Golden Globes’ Golden Eve special aired on Thursday and can be livestreamed via DirecTV, Fubo or Hulu+ Live TV.
