A slew of A-list stars saw their homes reduced to rubble in the Los Angeles wildfires last year.
Paris Hilton, Anna Faris, Eugene Levy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John Goodman and Anthony Hopkins were among those who lost their homes in the apocalyptic blaze.
There were 14 total wildfires blazing between January 7-31, 2025 in Southern California – which claimed the lives of 31 people, forced over 200,000 people to evacuate and destroyed over 16,000 structures.
The blazes raged for more than three weeks, while cleanup efforts stretched on for nearly seven months.
Thousands of destroyed homes are now under reconstruction or in the planning stages, as city and county officials in Los Angeles have issued more than 2,600 building permits.
Below, DailyMail.com takes a look at the homes one year on, revealing what remains after the devastating fires.

PARIS HILTON
Hilton’s $8.4 million Malibu home was among those that burned down in January of last year.
The waterfront residence owned by the This Is Paris star was ‘reduced to a pile of burning rubble’ due to the blazes that swept through the Los Angeles communities of Pacific Palisades and Malibu.
Photos taken on January 7 show the property remains in ruins, with rubble scattered throughout.
Though a lot of the previous debris has been cleared, revealing some of the foundation walls still standing.
Earlier this week Hilton Instastoried several posts commemorating the anniversary of the wildfires and highlighted her contributions like fostering a cute dog called Zuzu, for a family who lost their home, through Pasadena Humane.
The reality star-turned-singer never brought up her own loss but wrote that the ‘silver lining has been meeting and working with so many incredible people across LA on our shared mission to rebuild.’
Hilton recalled how she built the first-ever Sliving Lounge at Altadena Girls and surprised 50 female entrepreneurs with support from her $1 million grant program with the Pasadena women’s Business Center.
The home burned in the blaze was not the ‘main residence’ the hotel heiress lived in, as she owns multiple properties.

Hilton said she watched her waterfront Malibu home burn to the ground on live television in an emotional social media post last year.
‘Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,’ the socialite said on X/Twitter, accompanied by a clip from KABC depicting the damage.
The star — who shares son Phoenix Barron and daughter London Marilyn with husband Carter Reum, 43 — said she was ‘heartbroken beyond words’ amid the damaging wildfires.
‘This home was where we built so many precious memories,’ Hilton said. ‘It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.’
She continued, ‘While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family is safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires.
‘To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets. My heartaches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses.’

ANNA FARIS
Faris lost her mansion during the devastating Pacific Palisades, California fire.
Aerial photos taken on Wednesday showed the lot where her home once stood remains vacant, though the debris has been cleared.
Last year the 4,000 square foot home, which she snapped up for almost $5M in 2019, was seen charred to its foundation.
Every wall of the massive property was in ashes as it was difficult to make out the basic structure of the dwelling.
All that was still standing were some mature trees that lined the property, though their leaves were burned off.
The outline of her swimming pool could be seen, but it seemed to have no water in it as it must have evaporated during the blaze.
There was no car in the driveway or outside the home which hints it was fully evacuated before the fire swept down the street.
Faris purchased the home after she split from Jurassic World actor Chris Pratt and they sold their shared Hollywood Hills home in 2018.

According to Architectural Digest it was originally constructed as a spec house.

Hopkins also tragically lost his home in the devastating wildfires.
The legendary actor, 88, purchased the stunning four-bedroom, five-bathroom home in the Pacific Palisades area for $6 million in 2021, before his property was destroyed by the flames.
The latest photos show nothing more than the home’s foundation.
Fire damage was still visible on the walls and foundation.
Previous photos revealed the charred remains of the classic colonial home, with little more than a scorched fence standing as the only trace of what was once a beautiful property.
The house purchase was a fresh start for the Oscar-winning actor, who had just sold his long-time Malibu oceanfront place for $10.5 million—more than double what he paid for it back in 2001.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Hopkins’ home faced devastating flames.

Back in November 2018, his home narrowly escaped the Woolsey fire, which burned down his neighbor’s property.
Going even further back to 2000, Hopkins lost his London home in a fire too, but fortunately, he was safe in Los Angeles at the time.

Levy joined the ranks of those devastated by the massive wildfires.
The 79-year-old Schitt’s Creek star lost his home in LA’s Pacific Palisades neighborhood after the Westside fire burned it to the ground.
New photos of his burned down home show a fenced in empty lot with some green growth.
Levy told the Los Angeles Times that he had been caught in gridlock traffic as he tried to evacuate the neighborhood ahead of the flames.
Levy had reportedly purchased his property back in 2006 for a relatively modest $3.9 million, according to Urban Splatter.
The two-story home featured three bedrooms and three baths and was spread out over 2,081 square feet.
It reportedly dated back to 1950 and featured an attached garage, as well as an elegant set of curving steps leading up from the driveway to the front door.
Despite being small by celebrity standards, the home still boasted lovely touches like tasteful trees and shrubs providing some privacy at the front of the house.

But all that was reduced to a pile of smoldering rubble.
The American Pie star is Canadian and spent much of his life in Toronto, where he raised his children, Dan and Sarah Levy, both of whom appeared with him on their popular comedy series Schitt’s Creek.
He has a much larger mansion there, and his Pacific Palisades home was apparently primarily used when he was filming projects around Los Angeles.
Levy has a special connection to Pacific Palisades, as he was named the neighborhood’s honorary mayor in 2021.

The spacious house formerly boasted five bedrooms and five bathrooms, offering a generous 5,250 square feet of living space.
It’s unclear if the home was occupied, as Goodman primarily resides in New Orleans, Louisiana with wife Anna Beth Goodman, to whom he’s been married to since 1989.
The pair share daughter Molly Evangeline Goodman, born in 1990.
