News Room : Love Island star ‘arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, stalking and coercive control’

A Love Island star has allegedly been arrested on suspicion of ‘sexual assault, stalking and coercive control’ as he landed into the UK.

The man, who is in his 20s but has not been identified for legal reasons, has also been accused of ‘criminal damage, assault by beating and threats of revenge porn against his alleged victim’.

According to new reports the suspect was arrested as he disembarked at an airport after a woman contacted the police with the allegations.

The TV star is not connected to the current series and has been released on bail.

A source told The Sun: ‘These incredibly serious allegations are the last thing the show and ITV need given all the problems Love Island has faced in the past.

‘The network bosses will make sure they keep this guy away from the show, and any links to ITV, if any of this is proven. We know the police are taking this very seriously.’

The publication reported that The Met launched an investigation on November 15 and he was arrested 12 days later.

A spokesman said: ‘He was arrested on suspicion of multiple offences, including sexual assault, stalking, criminal damage and assault. A woman has been offered specialist support by officers.’

Daily Mail has contacted ITV for comment.

The third series of Love Island All Stars, hosted by Maya Jama, hit our screens on Thursday evening.

The dating show was supposed to air on Monday (12 January 2026), after it was due to start filming last Saturday, but was postponed due to the South Africa wildfires.

The show’s launch had been scheduled for Monday evening but was delayed after dangerous wildfires over the weekend made filming impossible.

The setback reportedly cost ITV more than £15,000 an hour, covering commitments to crew, staff, camera operators, and psychologists, all of whom were on the ground in South Africa awaiting their duties.

Host Maya flew to Cape Town last week ahead of filming, while the 12 confirmed Islanders, including Millie Court and Tommy Bradley, were staying in high-end accommodations.

A number of ‘bombshells’ who are yet to be revealed are also waiting on standby.

On Monday, the Daily Mail revealed that one of the surprise bombshells is former Islander Curtis Pritchard, who will make his fourth stint in the villa as part of the All Stars cast.

Curtis will now take on the role of the new Casey O’Gorman, who appeared on the show four times before winning last year’s All Stars alongside Gabby Allen.

One ex who certainly won’t be following him into the villa is Maura, who raised her profile on Sunday night by attending the Golden Globe Awards.

Rubbing shoulders with Hollywood A-listers at the ceremony due to her current appearance on The Traitors US, Maura has managed to distance herself from her first villa stint back in 2019.

The Daily Mail exclusively revealed this year’s cast, with the starting line-up including former winners Millie and Jess Harding, runner-up Whitney Adebayo, and Ronan Keating’s son Jack.

On Wednesday, Maya ensured all eyes were on her as she arrived at the Love Island villa for filming the new series of All Stars.

The presenter looked incredible in newly released snaps where she slipped into a white sleeveless dress.

The garment featured a plunging neckline and a deep, open back with low cut sides.
