Leigh-Anne, whose net worth is as estimated £20 million, explained how now that she does not have the support of a record label she is having to dig into her own pockets.

She said: ‘What I would say is hard about it is now I’m my own bank. I don’t have a label throwing money at me and I want to do everything.

‘I’ve got to make that stretch and I’m literally funding everything. It’s a lot. I don’t want to ever compromise on my artistry.’

Last month, Leigh-Anne took to Instagram to share a candid video explaining the struggles she has faced and that she is now ‘taking the reins’ to release her new album.

The singer first signed to Warner Records in 2022 after going solo but earlier this year got dropped and so is now in full control of her music and releasing independently with Virgin Music Group.

Leigh-Anne has said she is ‘leading this s***’ as she opened up about her turbulent year in a video to her 9.7million followers as she sat on the floor of her lavish walk-in wardrobe.

Releasing a long breath, the singer said: ‘So, long story short, the label have said no basically.

‘They don’t have the budget to put my album out, so I’m ready to take the reigns. It will be a new chapter and I just can’t wait. I’m leading this s***.’

At the end of the update, the Shout Out To My Ex hitmaker shared a montage of videos from her solo music performances so far.

Leigh-Anne added in the caption that she is ready to have ‘more success’ by releasing her solo album and with a headline tour.

She penned: ‘Proof that when you trust and back yourself, doors open. If you needed a sign, this is it. You are capable. You are powerful. Don’t shrink for anyone. You are enough. You always were.

‘Here’s to 2026, to my debut solo album My Ego Told Me To, headline tour, more love, more life and more success’.

Leigh-Anne has also claimed her ‘brutal’ former record label ghosted her after a ‘fallout’ before she was dropped by them.

Appearing on Paloma Faith’s Mad Sad Bad podcast, Leigh-Anne lifted the lid on leaving the label – and claimed the ‘head’ hung up the phone on her so she never got an explanation as to why she was being dropped.

‘I had a fallout with my label, and basically left them,’ she said. ‘It was crazy; they weren’t responding to us, basically ghosting. It was wild…

‘When you actually deep it, it’s like, how could you do that to someone? The head [of the label] actually rang and then exited the call after two rings, so I actually haven’t ever had an explanation.

‘So that was quite brutal.’

She added: ‘When I look back on my early solo career, I was doing good. I don’t feel like it was my issue. It was them.

‘All it would have taken was a phone call at least. But yeah that was a really weird period, so I left, went independent the next year.’
