Elizabeth Berkley has marked Showgirls’ 30th anniversary after the stripper film ruined her career.

The 53-year-old blonde beauty wore fun showgirls-themed outfits for a new ad for fashion designer Betsey Johnson.

It is all a part of Johnson’s stunning Holiday 2025 campaign which launched on Wednesday.

The actress and ‘original showgirl’ stood out in a sparkly silver leotard as well as a pink-and-purple robe inspired by the 1995 erotic drama which also starred Gina Gershon.

The daring movie was trashed when it was released, but has since gained a cult following.

‘Betsey’s designs have always embodied confidence, bold individuality, and playfulness,’ said Berkley in a statement.

‘I’ve worn her creations since I was a teen. Like the perfect mixtape, her clothing has been the soundtrack to so many memories, marking different ages, stages, and milestones in my life.

‘To now celebrate this full circle moment – the anniversary of Showgirls and this beautiful campaign with Betsey, truly feels like magic.’

Johnson also had kind things to say about the Hollywood actress who is married to Ralph Lauren’s son, Greg Lauren.

‘Elizabeth and I have always believed in standing out, shining brighter, and dancing to your own rhythm,’ said Johnson.

‘She’s the original showgirl, bold, fearless, and fabulous. This holiday, it’s all about owning your moment.’

The campaign marks a full-circle fashion moment for the Hollywood stalwart, who famously spent her first Saved by the Bell paycheck at a Johnson store.

She also wore one of the designer’s dresses to her Showgirls audition and screen test for the role of dancer Nomi Malone.

Berkley has had a comeback and now she has been seen in Kim Kardashian’s legal drama All’s Fair which also stars Naomi Watts and Glenn Close.

Berkley has a supporting role as one of the law firm’s new clients who is seeking a divorce.

At the premiere she wore a low-cut black gown that accentuated her incredible shape.

Her husband Lauren made a fun move by wearing a T-shirt with an image of his wife in the movie Showgirls about Las Vegas exotic dancers.

When the flick was released it was ridiculed for its cheap dialogue, but has since become a cult classic.

Berkley has had an incredibly varied career. The blonde beauty shot to fame on Saved By The Bell as high school student Jessie Spano, a role tailored especially to her strengths.

The campaign was shot on a set filled with nostalgic easter eggs, from vintage costumes to nods to Berkley’s own background as a dancer, ‘blending fantasy and nostalgia into a showstopping spectacle,’ the company shared

‘Betsey’s designs have always embodied confidence, bold individuality, and playfulness,’ said Berkley. ‘I’ve worn her creations since I was a teen’

And then she played Las Vegas stripper Nomi Malone in the racy 1995 movie Showgirls opposite Gina Gershon.

Her reputation took a hit as the film oozed cheesiness, but then the thespian came back in a Woody Allen movie – 2001’s The Curse Of The Jade Scorpion – and picked up supporting parts here and there.

And the wonder with the winning smile also popped up in the redo of Saved By The Bell.

Saved By The Bell was an instant classic that still has a strong fan base.

She and Tiffani Thiessen had both auditioned for one of the other roles, and after Tiffani got that part, the character of Jessie was created for Berkley.

The show ran from 1989 to 1993, after which the star secured the most infamous gig of her career – the 1995 movie Showgirls.

Showgirls was directed by Paul Verhoeven from a script by Joe Eszterhas, after the two men collaborated on the hit erotic thriller Basic Instinct.

The script at the time was the most expensive ever sold – a sale that became infamous after the film was savaged by the critics and tanked at the box office.

Although the movie was a commercial bomb in theaters, hamstrung partly by its NC-17 rating, it wound up being a smash hit on home video.

Showgirls rapidly became a cult favorite thanks in part to the beauty’s over-the-top performance as stripper Nomi Malone and to such ridiculous lines as the character claiming she ‘used to love Doggy Chow’ in a memorable scene with Gina Gershon.

However at the time the film made Berkley persona non grata, after she had left Saved By The Bell specifically to break into the movies.

‘Of course it was disappointing that it didn’t do well, but there was so much cruelty around it. I was bullied,’ she told People two years ago.

‘And I didn’t understand why I was being blamed. The job as an actor is to fulfill the vision of the director. And I did everything I was supposed to do.’

She noted ‘no one associated with the film spoke up on my behalf to protect me. I was left out in the cold and I was a pariah in the industry I had worked so hard for.’

Two years ago Berkley returned to the Saved By The Bell franchise for the show’s Peacock reboot, which was canceled this May after two seasons.

Meanwhile, Berkley’s more recent appearances include the HBO drama miniseries The Idol, which also featured the late Anne Heche.

Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose starred on The Idol, which is about a pop star who falls for a cult-leading nightclub owner.
