It’s frustrating turning up to an appointment on time and being told, through no fault of your own, there’s a delay with the person ahead of you.
And it seems not even A-list celebrities are spared the hassle.
Stella McCartney was left looking less than impressed after being made to wait for nearly half an hour for her beauty treatment at a luxury celebrity clinic – by none other than Julia Roberts.
The fashion designer, 54, wearing a long double-breasted tweed coat, was seen waiting in the reception of celebrity skin care expert Keren Bartov and getting increasingly irritated.
After she asked the receptionist about the delay, she left with some gifted products as Ms Roberts’ appointment had appeared to over-run.
The Pretty Woman star then slipped incognito from the clinic after her treatment dressed in a camel-coloured sweater, trousers and ballet flats, with a brown woollen hat and sunglasses.
The actress, 57, visited the luxury clinic in the well-heeled London enclave of Notting Hill on Wednesday evening to ensure she looked radiant ahead of an appearance on Graham Norton’s sofa the following day.
It’s not the first time Ms Roberts has been treated by Ms Bartov, who describes herself as the ‘tech wizard of skin’. She posted a picture of the actress on her Instagram in September, calling her ‘the ultimate icon’, adding: ‘Treating you is a dream come true.’

Ms Roberts also prepped her skin for a photoshoot for EE72, the new magazine by former Vogue UK editor Edward Enninful.
The treatments are said to improve ageing and sagging skin, conditions such as acne and rosacea, and stimulate collagen. Ms Roberts certainly appeared glowing on Friday night’s broadcast of BBC’s The Graeme Norton Show following her treatment.
The show also featured actors Colin Farrell and Benedict Cumberbatch, and singer Gloria Estefan with Robbie Williams performing a song from his forthcoming album, BRITPOP.
Ms Roberts is in London to promote her film After The Hunt, in which she plays a professor who must choose where her loyalties lie following a rape accusation against a colleague, played by Andrew Garfield.
She is currently filming Panic Carefully alongside The Day Of The Jackal’s Eddie Redmayne and Marvel star Elizabeth Olson.
She has reunited with writer and director Sam Esmail for the project. The pair have worked on Leave The World Behind and Amazon Prime’s Homecoming.
