Fans have expressed concern after Jelena Dokic appeared to hint at heartbreak in a series of cryptic social media posts.
The 42-year-old went Instagram official with her new partner, Yane Veselinov, back in July.
But the former tennis champion has now sparked concern there could be trouble in paradise after sharing several posts in recent weeks about being ‘loved, valued and appreciated’.
On September 11, Jelena shared a lengthy message about ‘choosing yourself’.
‘In life sometimes you have to be honest with yourself, as hard as it might be and realise: “I have people close to me or I am with someone that doesn’t love me, doesn’t appreciate me and doesn’t value me”,’ she wrote.
Some fans flocked to the comments to offer their support while others asked her if she was ‘doing ok’.

A week later, Jelena shared another post about being ‘kind and gentle’.
‘You don’t need to blame yourself, you don’t need to figure it all out now, you don’t need the guilt or questions. It just is what it is sometimes,’ she wrote.
Most recently, the tennis star reminded fans it’s important to ‘protect your peace and mental health’.
‘I am not angry. I am just done. No to toxicity and yes to boundaries to protect my peace and mental health,’ the post read.
‘I am removing myself from people and situations that don’t bring me peace, safety, comfort and happiness.
‘I am done with situations that bring tension, confusion and drama and not peace and calmness.
‘I am done with people that don’t love me the way I love them. I am done with people that don’t put in the care and effort that I do. It’s time to say no to toxicity and people using me.’
Fans showed their support in the comments, with one writing: ‘I hope that you are ok. Stay strong. Do the things you love. It’s ok to say no. Look after yourself Jelena.’
‘Okay so is all okay?’ another asked.

It comes after Jelena recently revealed how she’s navigating life and her relationship with Yane in the public eye after years of heartbreak.
‘He’s not anonymous anymore. We talk about that a lot and I want to make sure that he’s OK, that he doesn’t feel like [his] privacy was invaded,’ she told Stellar last month.
‘I’ve been in the spotlight since the age of 12, so it’s very different for me. The most important thing is that we’re happy. I’ve had to do a lot of healing, a lot of soul-searching.’
Little is known about Yane, who is a hospitality operations manager, but his Instagram bio paints him as a ‘food and wine enthusiast, pleasure seeker and life enjoyer’.
Late last year, Jelena revealed she had been ‘closed off’ to finding love ever since she split from her long-time Brazilian boyfriend, Tim Bikic.
The couple were together for almost 19 years before announcing their relationship ended in 2021.
Despite saying that her walls have been up ever since, Jelena took to Instagram to make the heartbreaking admission that she’s ‘scared of being alone’ for the rest of her life.
‘Love. It’s been a challenging personal period. We don’t talk about this enough but relationship breakdowns are so tough,’ she said alongside a selfie.
Jelena added that she’s built to love one person ‘unconditionally and so fully that it gets me in trouble’.
